Tutoring Sessions

  • Personalised 1:1 and Small Group Home Education

I offer personalised 1:1 and small group home education designed around each pupil as an individual.

    Tailored to Your Child

Every session is tailored to your child’s interests, strengths, and learning style, helping them feel motivated, confident, and excited to learn.

    Fun and Engaging Lessons

Through fun, hands-on, and engaging tasks, lessons are brought to life in a way that makes learning meaningful and enjoyable — whether we’re building, exploring, creating, or problem-solving together.

    Flexible and Nurturing Approach

This flexible, nurturing approach supports progress at your child’s pace while encouraging curiosity, independence, and a genuine love of learning.

  • Personalised 1:1 Tutoring

My 1:1 personalised tutoring sessions are carefully designed to meet each child exactly where they are.

    Ongoing Assessment

Through ongoing assessment, I identify strengths, gaps, and next steps, allowing sessions to be both supportive and appropriately challenging.

    Experienced Specialist

As an experienced English specialist and primary lead teacher, I focus on building strong foundations in core skills while ensuring clear, measurable progress over time.

    Engaging and Motivating

Learning is always shaped around children’s interests, making sessions engaging and motivating, and helping pupils develop:

    • Confidence

    • Resilience

    • A positive attitude towards learning

  • Carefully Created Groups

My groups are carefully created based on year group and current ability levels, ensuring each child receives the appropriate level of support and challenge.

    The Best of Both Worlds

With my small groups, your child will receive all the benefits of 1:1 tutoring, without the pressure of a solo session.
It is the best of both worlds — personalised learning supported by an experienced primary teacher in a fun, interactive, and bespoke group setting!

    Individualised Guidance

Having taught a class of 32 children without any additional support, I understand the value in offering individualised learning guidance and feedback.
In my small groups, I can continue to give each child the time and attention they need, in a nurturing environment, whilst still being able to offer first-hand guidance that isn't always possible in school.

    Collaborative and Creative Activities

From team games, to partner challenges and group story writing, the children work together, challenge each other, and build lasting learning experiences.

For small group tutoring it is £40 per hour. I offer an initial £25 home visit for each small group student.

  • “Ms Ellis/ Charlotte has been providing tuition to our two children for over 5 years. They are both boys. My eldest is neurodiverse and Ms Ellis started tutoring him when he was 3 years old to help support his educational development, where he was clearly behind due to his speech and language delay. He is now 8 years old and for a child who couldn't engage in mainstream school when he started aged 4,  with Ms Ellis' support and confidence she has instilled in him over the years he is now in mainstream 75% of the time. Ms Ellis throughout her time with him has been innovative with regards to how to engage him with his education, she is very skilful in knowing how to motivate him, grow his passion for learning and close gaps in his education because of his neurodiversity. We are so proud of how well our son has developed with Ms Ellis and continue to trust in her experience and expertise. Ms Ellis started working with our second son aged 4, a year ago, she identified his potential for learning early and has helped to advance his education beyond his age and it has been a joy to watch and it shows in his engagement in school and from his recent school report. We are extremely happy with everything Ms Ellis has done for our children and look forward to continuing our relationship with her. “

  • “Lottie has been an incredible maths tutor for our daughter, Ruby. Ruby really struggles to grasp maths concepts in a large classroom environment, but the one-to-one sessions with Lottie have made such a difference. Her confidence has grown enormously, and she’s been able to cement the basics that she had previously found challenging. Most importantly, Ruby absolutely adores Lottie and genuinely looks forward to her sessions. Maths is no longer something she dreads — it’s now a subject she actually enjoys. We couldn’t recommend Lottie more highly”.

  • “Charlotte is an amazing Homeschool tutor for both my daughter and son! She is patient with them and bases their work off of their interests to keep them engaged, since starting I have seen both my children's confidence grow! Best I could ask for!”

    Mrs Carey-  Woking, Surrey

  • “From my very first conversation with Lottie, I knew she was someone who held a deep belief in every child’s potential and genuinely cared about creating bespoke learning environments in which they could flourish. Her commitment goes far beyond academics - she ensures that tutors and pupils are carefully matched, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident, motivated, and understood. What is rare to find is someone who cares just as much about the working conditions of her tutors as she does the pupils. She takes the time to listen to tutors and understand their individual circumstances, doing everything in her power to ensure that they too feel supported and valued. This fosters a culture of respect, collaboration, and professionalism, making her a joy to work with.”

  • “Thanks to Lottie’s support, our son made remarkable progress in a short period of time. Her tailored, patient, and highly personalised approach had a significant impact on his learning. Lottie’s deep understanding of SEN and her ability to respond to individual needs truly set her apart.”

    Mrs Lawson- Ewell, Surrey

  • We’ve been working with Lottie for around five months and the improvement in our sons’ reading, writing and maths is fantastic. She’s brilliant with children and always brings personalised, engaging resources based on their interests, which they really love. Lottie is very professional and gives us a helpful handover each week explaining what they’ve worked on. We’re incredibly grateful for her support, have already recommended her, and are very happy to continue working with her.
